Have you ever been in a fish market where the smell drives you away?? In Monterey Fish Market the air smelled fresh!!! Their selection was amazing with fresh clams, oysters, scallops, and sashimi grade tuna. They also had live crabs and lobsters available. Might as well shop where restaurant chefs shop.
You pay a bit more but you get great quality. Both shrimp and dungenous crab were delicious and fresh

Absolutely fresh fish, I come here to buy snapper to make traditional Sinaloense dishes like sarandeado, ceviche, and they have amazing oysters at very good prices. Can't go wrong when buying fish on the East Bay at Monterey Fish Market.

I have past by this fish market for years, but today I decided to try, and so happy I did. I purchased a whole king salmon 24 a pound/ the weighed approximately 11.4 pound. They not only scaled and steaked the fish, they did all of this without charging me extra. Wow! With this purchase, I also purchased rock fish ALL FRESH. The staff was also GREAT, and the management exceptional. I purchased over 300 worth of fish . I highly recommend this establishment. I will definitely return.
